Ludwig and Beyond

Feat. DJ Vindictiv (scratcher), trompeter Carlo Nardozza and saxophonist Reiner Witzel. Made up of students and alumni of the Conservatory of Maastricht and led by composer Jesse Passenier, the line-up merges and summarizes three conventional formations: the symphony orchestra, the big band and the electric band. This is in alignment with the mix of styles that Passenier sets out to bring to the stage, exploring the boundaries of classical, jazz, funk, drum ‘n bass and hip hop. Starting with a reference to Beethoven’s ‘Ode an die Freude’, Ludwig and Beyond is born.
